Utility Trailer Conversions — Torsion Axle and Tilting Deck
Plans at Mechanical Elements are always improving. Now a Tilt Top Conversion for our popular 3500 lb. Utility Trailer Blueprints! Convert one of our regular Utility Trailers into a Tilt Top. Available for both Leaf Spring suspension and Torsion Axle Trailer Plans. Blueprints are in the Plans Store Accessories. Also, read the intro article for details and compatibility.
We also have new Torsion Axle Conversion plans! Now you can have any of our 2000 lb. and 3500 lb. trailers with a Leaf Spring Suspension, or with a Torsion axle. The new conversion blueprints cover the trailer sizes not previously available with a Torsion Axle.
Yes, these are fully engineered (like all our blueprints). Some sites brag about “Engineer Approved” plans. We’ll do one better . . . these are from the Engineer. Get your project started with this guide to choose DIY Trailer Plans.
The Ultimate – Tiny House Foundation
By Your Request — We Have Tiny House Trailer Plans! The Best. These are purpose built blueprints for a Tiny House Foundation (trailer). If you want a Tiny Home, don’t mess with trailers of a different purpose. Build your Foundation with engineering specifically for Tiny Houses.
Blueprints made for Tiny Homes – Like a strong perimeter to support the walls, an I-Beam frame for strength, and “in frame” floor integration for a unique low deck (solid floor & more vertical interior space). Choose the 20′ Trailer, or the 24′ Trailer, or the not-so-tiny 30′ / 32′ Trailer. We even have plans for extra wide foundations – 10′ Wide, or 12′ Wide.
Did You Build Something From Our Plans (Blueprints)?
DIY projects are great. You build and create and invest a bit of yourself into each project. When you’re done, you feel that pride of ownership that comes from no other place. That’s awesome, and for many of us, that’s the reason we build. Build it better than you can buy it!
Now, if you don’t mind our asking, please Share Your Experience! Other customers would love to see — especially the customizations. Just like you, we all like seeing inspiration in what others accomplish, so go ahead. Send in Your Story with a Photo – or 2. Use this link!
Also, check out what other DIY customers have built on our Customer Project Stories Page. We would love to add your story there too.
