Plans For Deck-Over Trailers

For a workhorse, there is nothing quite like Deck-Over Trailers.  And now you have found the source of the best plans available.  We have several sizes and various capacities to choose from.

At Mechanical Elements, our goal is to provide the best plans around - and we do it with our Deck-Over Trailers too.  The plans include a ton of information, in the many drawing pages (blueprint sheets).

Side Note:  Yes, in the old days they coined the term "Blueprint" because the process of duplicating a large format drawing turned out a page that was a light blue tint, with dark blue drawing lines.  Now, of course, we do it in Black and White - even color sometimes - but the old nomenclature of "Blueprints" still hangs around.

We do not really care what name to use, Blueprints or Drawings is fine.  They come in PDF, so you can print them any size you want.  And, I suppose you can print them in blue for nostalgia if you wish.

You have come to the right place for the best.  Our Deck-Over Trailers plans include a lot more than just the drawings.  The package also includes a document with lists of both parts and materials.  Parts to purchase - like wheels, axles, lights, etc.  And materials - like the steel, the wood (and other deck options).

The instructions document includes a section of "Engineering Considerations" with tips about variations, discussion about areas of care, and info about where you can make changes.  We encourage customizing these deck-over trailers, because you can achieve your goals better when you understand.

Finally, these plans include a few DXF files so you can get some of the parts cut-out perfect.  Like the tail plate which has alignment slots, taillight holes, and ramp access openings.
