Accessories For Your Trailer?
Depending on the definition you like, these may or may not fit your view of Accessories. While they can change the look, most our our trailer accessories are for improved functionality, not for Accessorizing.
Semantics aside, when you need something a little different, some function your trailer is lacking, then look in our Trailer Accessories Plans.
Examples Of Value In Changes
We have conversion plans - which are ways to convert, or change the function, from some of our trailer plans. The Tilt Top Conversion is a good example. If you want this useful Tilt feature, these plans show you how to add it to some of our other trailer plans. Please note which trailer plans are compatible.
Then there are the axle swap plans. The torsion axle conversion shows you how to change from a leaf spring suspension to a torsion axle without over-stressing the trailer frame.
Or, go a big step better by swapping a tandem axle system for a rubber enhanced Walking Beam suspension. Not only do you get the awesome improvements of a Walking Beam, but you also get the ride isolation of rubber in torsion axles - but BETTER! - because they share the load. The 2 technologies work beautifully with each other - and this is the only place you can get Walking Beam plans for small trailers!
As another change that some people like, we have a folding tailgate option. Again, again this is a conversion for a change in function for certain of our utility trailers. The Folding Tailgate plans show you what to change in order to make a more compact tailgate.
Accessory Additions
Other accessories we offer are additions for a trailer, and not specific to go with any trailer. The RAMP plans are a good example. The ramp plans have info to explain the relationship of ramp length, to how much weight it will hold, depending on the structure (size and type) you build it with. Also, the differences for building in Aluminum or Steel. It is not just one plan, but dozens of plans in one - because you set the parameters, and the plans show you the limits.
If you carry small boats, like kayaks or canoes, our trailer accessories category has a plan for a rack that will mount in your trailer (or in your garage) to store / or transport the small boats. The rack is strong to support the boats for travel, yet it can come apart to neatly set off to the side.
These are the Trailer Accessories. We hope these will help you build your perfect trailer.
