Drawing Views of Off-Road Trailer Plans

These off-road trailer plans include step-by-step / page by page illustrated instructions.  They have both a parts list and a materials lists.  We also include recommendations for places to purchase materials, and necessary components.  While we do offer suggestions as options for sides and more, we leave the imagination for what is best for you, to you.

Customize Your Off-Road Trailer Plans

This design is slightly larger than 4′ x 6.5′ — and has more center ground clearance than our more traditional 4×6 Off Road Jeep Trailer.  The base design includes a torsion axle with neutral arm angle down — which gives max center clearance and independent suspension in a lightweight package.  (Yes, torsion axles are independent suspension.)  You can use an Axle-Less suspension (though it is heavier and we recommend reading this article about Axle-Less to get it mounted right).

If this Off-Road trailer is not quite the right size, customize it by making it a little longer, shorter, wider or narrower — just use these rules as a guide.  We always recommend customizing things to make it the perfect trailer for you.  Make higher sides, add doors and cubbies, put on a roof top tent.  The trailer frame will handle it.  It’s your rig, and it’s your adventure.  We’re here to help, but it’s for you to Make it Great!!
