Description

Description

Equipment transport and Car trailers have a unique job to carry heavy payloads with a few points of contact on the trailer.  Also, most things load onto the back.  That means it needs high strength without compromise.  This 12,000 lbs trailer has an I-Beam design to give great strength while keeping the deck height low.

Drive a truck on it, or put a tractor on it.  These are NOT cookie cutter trailer trailer plans.  They are a complete design from the ground up, with full engineering to make sure the trailer will perform when you need it.  Build your car trailer from these plans with confidence.

Engineering Analysis not Guessing
Full Engineering Analysis is the way to assure proper trailer strength.  The image above is one example of the analysis we do with all our trailer designs.

This is a Fixed Deck design, with slide out ramps, removable fenders, and a ton of other options.  While some options are in the images above, there are many not visible.  Because Car Trailers have some many different needs, just one trailer plan won’t do it all.  However, if a 18.5′ long, fixed deck, 12,000 lbs capacity Car Trailer / Equipment Transport meets your need, these plans will definitely help build a solid one.

A trailer from these plans will carry your car, or truck, or tractor, or side-by-side, or equipment, and more.  Plans include the base Car Trailer / Equipment Trailer, then many options so you can build the perfect trailer for your unique needs.  That’s the way we do it.  Read more in this intro article.

Fixed Deck Car Trailer Plans

12,000 lbs Total Capacity with tandem 6000 lb axles, under an 18.5′ full width deck.  Strength is in the I-Beam construction, which is stronger than C-Channel of similar size.  It makes this trailer perform better for the long term, and the long haul.  18.5′ is a perfect length for many uses.  Read more in the accordions below.

We also have a 20′ length, 10,400 lbs capacity version of these trailer plans if that will work better.

More About The Design Features

More About The Design Features

As a multi-purpose trailer, this one has a lot of features to handle many of your hauling needs.  12K makes it beefy enough to carry a lot of equipment — like skid loaders, tractors, mini-excavators, and lifts.  While it’s more than needed, it will certainly do a great job of hauling a car, a Jeep, your truck, or other vehicle.

So, what are your needs?  Various needs require different configurations, which is why we give so many options.  Whether you’re hauling Cars, or Equipment, there are always ways to make the job easier.

These plans start with a solid base, then we recommend building to make it the trailer you want.  Use options in the plans as a start, then add your own flavor so it fits your needs.
