Our partner is Johnson Trailer Parts. They already have many of the kits ready, but they are working on photography and web stuff for each trailer parts kit as well as the many options for you to order. That takes time. See the Kits Announcement!

In general, each trailer parts kit includes the axle(s), coupler, safety chains, wiring, wheels, tires, lights, jack, and fenders – all of it, – OR – only the pieces you want. Some kits have more or less depending on the trailer.

They know the right parts for each trailer plan. OR, they can customize a kit for you to match changes or customizing you may want to make to the plans.

Other Places For Trailer Parts (But they don’t come in a Kit)
Some good sources we use (and recommend) for trailer components are these:
- Check Local Sources – Most cities and towns have a local source for trailer parts and accessories. Check your local listings. This is a great way to see the parts prior to purchase, and usually a great way to get some good advice.
- Rigid Hitch Inc. – Phone: 800-624-7630. We like Rigid Hitch because they carry quality parts. They don’t sell direct, but call them and they will refer you to a dealer nearby.
- eTrailer.com – www.eTrailer.com They have a huge selection, and lots of extra info – like videos, photos, and detailed descriptions – about the components they sell. It is harder to get custom parts, like to order a custom axle here, but they do have a wide selection of various parts.
- Redneck Trailers – redneck-trailer.com is a good source for all the little parts that go along with building or fixing a trailer. (Dexter owns the company, so they have mostly Dexter parts.) Excellent place to order a Torsion Axle. They will help you if you use their “Contact Us” link and send them the full axle description (like we give in the plans). Also a good place to find all the little pieces.
There are a ton of other resources, of course. These are just some we know and have good experience with. I am sure there are many others that are ready and willing to assist you in putting together your own trailer parts kit.
