To make your “Ask the Engineer” call most valuable, take a little time to prepare:

  • We recommend writing your questions down.
  • Think about what you want to learn on the call, then organize your ideas.
  • If you have sketches, drawings, or photos to discuss, you can upload them on this page.
  • The calls are on Zoom, so if you prefer, we can share screens during the call to view your material.  This upload page is simply an option – because we like choices.

For those just visiting or looking ahead, you are also welcome to schedule a call from our “Ask the Engineer” page.  After you book a time, use the form below to upload files for discussion during your “Ask the Engineer” call.

If you want to share materials in advance, please upload them here.
You may include sketches, photos, drawings, PDFs, or screenshots – anything that explains your project and makes your hour more effective.

What To Upload:

  • PDF files, like drawings or documents.
  • Photos or screenshots in JPG, GIF, or PNG formats.
  • Sketches (hand-drawn is great), then snap a photo and send it.
  • Notes or descriptions – output in a PDF format.

What We Do With The Upload Files:

  • Your uploads are only for preparing for our upcoming session.
  • We use the files to review before and during the meeting, then delete them after.  They are not shared or used for any other purpose.
  • If your materials are confidential, you may prefer to show them live (in Zoom screen-share) instead of uploading in advance.
  • We will map the uploads to your call using your email address, so please use the same address in the upload form below.

The upload service is not required, it is simply a way for you to communicate with us in preparing for your engineering call – if you want.

    What Happens Next

    Before Your Call

    • If you upload something, I will review it before the call so we can spend our time discussing answers, options, and next steps.
    • If you book a session but do not upload files, no problem.  We will discuss things in the way you wish.

    During The Call

    • We will review your details, share screens if you desire, and discuss your questions.  You set the pace.

    After The Call

    • Your uploaded files are deleted.
    • There is no obligation or further commitment after the call – unless you want it.
    • We are happy to stay in touch, and we always love to see your progress, but that is entirely up to you.

    In The Meantime

    • If you think of something new or have additional items to share, feel free to upload more than once, or bring them directly to the call.
